Artist Statement

My creative life began with a deep, lifelong obsession with the arts—absorbing, studying, and responding to everything from classical painting to experimental media. This passion, combined with academic discipline and formal training, laid the foundation for a practice that is both grounded and radically exploratory.

I draw on the full spectrum of art history—from ancient symbolism to contemporary abstraction—infused with surrealism, mythology, and memory. These influences shape layered visual narratives populated by veiled figures, fractured identities, and symbolic forms. My process is guided by challenge, curiosity, and experimentation. Some works confront, others amuse or obscure—but all begin with intention and evolve through intuition and risk.

My paintings aren’t burdened with fixed symbolism or coded meaning. They emerge from curiosity—a search for imagery that is visually compelling, even entertaining. I follow what compels me in the moment, allowing each piece to unfold instinctively. If meaning arises, it belongs to the viewer. I don’t offer interpretations; I invite them.

I don’t create art to decorate interiors or appeal to trends. My work resists repetition and formula, responding instead to what has come before while striving toward reinvention. Each piece is a departure—an exploration, not a conclusion. Collectors won’t find a singular aesthetic here, but rather a diverse and evolving body of work driven by a commitment to discovery.
