Studio Philosophy & Artist Statement

My work is the result of a lifelong inquiry into the architecture of form—an evolving practice shaped by Graphic Surrealism, Neo‑Abstraction, and decades of disciplined visual problem‑solving. I use digital tools as both a modern sketchbook and a finished studio practice, manipulating and refining forms through precise hand‑driven control to create unique digital works alongside my physical paintings. This hybrid approach expands my visual language, allowing each medium to inform the other while maintaining the same rigor, intentionality, and commitment to originality.

Across all formats, my focus remains on structural clarity, spatial tension, and the inventive distortion of form. I pursue a visual language built on rhythm, risk, and the rejection of formula—compositions that emerge intuitively rather than symbolically. The work ultimately comes alive in its physical presence: surfaces that reveal depth, nuance, and a tactile reality that cannot be replicated on a screen. Each piece invites slow looking and personal interpretation, offering viewers a direct, enduring encounter with the image.
