My Chop
My chop (symbol or signature) is a reflection of my connection to tradition and history, merging the timeless Chinese seal with ancient characters chiseled in stone. Traditionally, chops serve as personal seals, marking identity and authenticity. In my design, I weave these elements together—paying homage to the depth of ancient inscriptions while preserving the chop’s enduring significance. Since around 2000, this fusion has been incorporated into my paintings, with my chop stamped on the front of each piece as a mark of authenticity and artistic identity. Meanwhile, my signature, date, and painting title are carefully placed on the back of the canvas, completing the work’s story. This approach honors cultural heritage while evolving into a modern form that speaks to my vision and craftsmanship.
